RHD is honored to welcome Lisa Thomas-Laury as celebrity MC for this year's Philly Pours. One of the first African American women to anchor TV news in a large U.S. city, Lisa became one of the most popular local TV anchors in the country. Lisa recently published her memoir, "On Camera and Off, When the News is Good and When it's Not" about her groundbreaking career as a journalist at Channel 6 and her struggles dealing with a difficult medical diagnosis, the rare disorder called POEMS syndrome.
The Philly Pours VIP event will feature an exclusive cocktail presentation with special guests André and Tenaya Darlington, siblings and co-authors of three books that revolve around cocktails: The New Cocktail Hour, TCM's Movie Night Menus, and the new Booze & Vinyl, Their creative pairings of cocktails with movies and music will make for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at this year's Philly Pours. This year Philly Pours is proud to showcase Stateside Urbancraft Vodka, a custom-designed vodka produced in Philadelphia. This year Philly Pours will feature some of the amazing custom cocktails from Stateside's Federal Distilling Room, a full service cocktail lounge attached to the distillery, paired with fine cuisine, as well as beer and wine.
Philly Pours will also feature award-winning wines from Iatesta Imports, specializing in wines from the finest regions of Italy.
